The 2026 Regular Season Registration is now open!
You can find our 2026 Spordle registration page here.
This season we will be offering programming for the following divisions and birth years:
5U: 2022 & 2021
7U: 2020 & 2019
9U: 2018 & 2017
11U: 2016 & 2015
13U: 2014 & 2013
15U: 2012 & 2011
18U: 2008, 2009 & 2010
All divisions do have registration caps to ensure we can facilitate teams for all registrants, if at any point a division reaches the registration cap, a waitlist will be activated and at such a time as there are enough athletes on the waitlist to add an additional team in that division those athletes on the waitlist will be contacted and offered registration. We will make every effort to place all waitlisted athletes on teams, but there may be occasions where we cannot accommodate athletes due to teams being at capacity and not enough interest for an additional team. If you have any questions or concerns, or want to inquire about how close a division is to capacity, please contact Katie at registrar@leducbaseball.ca
We endeavor to keep our Facebook and Website as updated as possible, please continue to monitor those for updates! Email updates will also be sent to the primary email on each account.
We will continue to offer association run programming for 5U, 7U, and 9U. Our 11 U and 13U house league teams will once again play in the CUB league, while the 11U-A and 13U-A teams will again play in the YEGA league and then play in the A provincials in July. Our 15U and 18U teams will be entered into the ERRBL league again this year, with A teams being formed for provincials in July.
The indoor season will begin with tryouts for the 11U and 13U A teams in March, with 9U through 18U evaluations beginning soon thereafter. All teams in 9U through 18U will have indoor practices in April with outdoor programming beginning as soon as the season opens the fields for the year (typically May 1, weather permitting). Our 7U program will have indoor evaluations in April, and will begin outdoor programming in May. Our 5U program will begin when the fields open in May.
LBA runs the 5U program at the Christ the King field on Tuesday and Thursday nights in May and June, while the 7U program runs on the same fields on Monday and Wednesday nights in May and June.
Our 9U through 18U programs are not on set nights, but games and practices do typically occur only on weeknights for house league teams. A level teams may have some weekend practice times as well, TBD. All teams in a Baseball Alberta sanctioned league (CUB, ERRBL, YEGA) will have one playoff weekend in June, this year that will be June 20 & 21, 2026. These league championships mark the end of the regular season for all community leagues.
A teams will continue to play until the A provincial championships in July, teams may require travel anywhere in the province during the month of July. A teams typically have 2 'play weekends', and based on the outcomes of their games those weekends they are placed in a tier for provincials July 17-19, which also could be located anywhere in the province. Athletes and their families who are successfully rostered to an A level Giants team should expect travel in July for baseball, as well as a 'level up fee' of $150 which goes towards the additional diamonds, umps, balls, practices, registration, and insurance required for the additional month of play.
New for 2026 you will have the option to buy out 1(ONE) volunteer credit, there is a volunteer credit agreement required as part of your registration which outlines this process but please feel free to direct any questions you may have to LBA's General Manager, Katie at registrar@leducbaseball.ca
All respondees who select interest in a team staff position via this registration will receive a link to register their intent and interest in a position closer to the start of indoor baseball, if you decide at a later date that you would like to register your intent or interest in a team staff position, please contact Katie at registrar@leducbaseball.ca.
Please note, the email you use at the time of registration is the one linked to the exports we use for association communication and rostering into the app for team communication.
If you intend to apply for funding for your registration fees, please reach out to our registrar so that we can facilitate your registration while funding is in progress.
We would love to hear from you any time with any questions or concerns you may have at registrar@leducbaseball.ca , we are excited for the season ahead and look forward to seeing all of our athletes on the diamonds in Leduc this spring!
